Course Description This Lymphatic Drainage Massage course is designed for beginners who wish to learn the foundational techniques of lymphatic massage and how to apply them for general wellness or targeted treatments. You will explore the principles of lymphatic drainage massage and practice techniques on various areas of the body to address swelling, detoxification, and recovery support. The course also includes post-surgical applications and advanced techniques for more specific client needs. Course Overview Health, Safety & Hygiene: Understanding essential hygiene practices, client safety, and contraindications to ensure safe and effective treatments. Anatomy of the Lymphatic System: Exploring the structure and function of the lymphatic system, including lymph nodes, vessels, and their role in immunity and detoxification. Consultation and Contraindications: Learning how to conduct thorough client consultations, identify contraindications, and tailor treatments to individual needs. Lymphatic Massage Techniques: Mastering the use of gentle, rhythmic strokes to stimulate lymphatic flow and promote drainage, focusing on areas such as the face, neck, arms, legs, abdomen, and back. Specific Applications: Post-surgical lymphatic drainage (e.g., liposuction, mastectomy) Treating lymphedema, swelling, or fluid retention Enhancing detoxification and promoting overall wellness Aftercare Advice: Providing clients with guidance on post-treatment care to enhance and maintain the benefits of lymphatic drainage massage. What to Wear: A beauty uniform or tunic is ideal, but otherwise, black, smart, and clean clothing suitable for learning is acceptable (e.g., short-sleeved t-shirt and trousers).
